Yesterday, we reportedthat HBO has delayed their special IMAX screenings for the hit seriesGame of Thronesby one week, from January 23 to January 29, due to “high levels of consumer demand.” With just one day left until tickets go on sale, IMAX has released two limited edition posters that will be given away to the fans who attend these screenings. This will be the first-ever presentation of a television program in IMAX theatres, featuring two episodes fromSeason 4ofGame of Thronesfollowed by the worldwide debut of the series’Season 5sneak-peek preview created exclusively for IMAX. Be warned, though, if you aren’t caught up withSeason 4, there will be some spoilers revealed in the posters, so check the out at your own risk.
The first 300 IMAX ticket holders for the Thursday night opening show time (January 29 at 10pm) at participating IMAX theatres will receive a commemorativeGame of Thronesposter from well-known illustratorRobert Ball(BeautifulDeath.com), who designed interpretive images of the most iconic deaths in each episode. Fans who attend AMC IMAX Theaters for these screenings will receive theWatchers on the Wallposter, while fans at every other theater will getThe Childrenposter. Tickets will officially go on sale onIMAX.com/GameOfThronesstarting Friday, January 16.

The move from January 23, prompted by extraordinary consumer response that drove online mentions for IMAX to record heights, will allow for an expanded domestic roll-out from the originally planned 150 IMAX theatres.
