Think what you will about director Michael Bay, the guy certainly knows how to do one thing, and do it well…sometimes. Anyway, Netflix is clearly fans of The Bay and have teamed up with the explosive filmmaker to bring us6 Underground, an action thriller starring Hollywood’s most charming actor Ryan Reynolds. In anticipation of the film, Reynolds has pulled up a chair, and put on his thinking cap, to explain to us all how6 Undergroundis the most Michael Bay movie ever, beginning with his usual flair for the sarcastic.

“Ya see,Michael Bayis a pioneer of the kind of tear-soaked, emotionally understated drama that makes us all question our role in the human experience.”

The video then goes on to show Bay directing6 Underground, and all the explosions, sparks and enthusiastic cries of ‘boom!’ that go along with it.Ryan Reynoldsthen divulges into the science of6 Underground, and the complexities of the ‘Bay-spectrum’.

“Back in the old days, when you made a Michael Bay movie you couldn’t know if you’d just made the most Michael Bay movie ever. Scientists just didn’t have the technology to calculate the limits of the Bay-spectrum.”

Turns out that what he is referring to as ‘the old days’ only goes back to 2006, so this must be a very new science indeed, and clearly the recent updates to technology have now allowed prestigious movie scholars to dissect and analyze the nuance and detail that is the Michael Bay back catalogue. Though the intricate formulas will fly over most people’s heads, rest assured Ryan Reynolds is absolutely sure that6 Undergroundhits the top end of the Bay-spectrum.

“But today i can definitively tell you that 6 Underground is themost Michael Bay movie in the history of Michael Bay.”

To back up such claims, theNetflixpreview shows some alleged live tests that feature audience members watching the movie (which does look very Bay-ish) and becoming more and more excited as cars flip, stuff explodes and gunshots pierce their ears. Finally, the movie achieves “Maximum Bayhem”, before Reynolds sums up why everyone needs to tune in when the movie hits Netflix on December 13.

“So don’t miss the most Michael Bay movie that Michael Bay has ever Michael Bay-ed. 6 underground, do it, because science says you should.”

Well, if it is the interest of science then who are we to refuse.

6 Undergroundfollows six individuals who form a vigilante squad after faking their deaths in order to take down notorious criminals. All of them are brought together by their leader, played by Ryan Reynolds, for their unique skills and a desire to erase their past in order to change their future. Alongside Reynolds the film stars Mélanie Laurent, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Adria Arjona, Corey Hawkins, Ben Hardy, and Dave Franco. This comes from Netflix streaming service.
