The following British crime dramas are awesome, yet they haven’t achieved the same level of popularity as shows like Peaky Blinders and Top Boy.
After the Flood Features Mainstays of British Television
Sophie Rundle has been in some of the biggest UK TV series of the past decade or so, includingMerlin, The Bletchley Circle, Happy Valley, Episodes, Call the Midwife, Dickensian, Bodyguard, Jamestown, Gentleman Jack, andPeaky Blinders. The same could be said about writer and creator Mick Ford, who is also a prominent actor; he’s starred inSilent Witness, Midsomer Murders, A Touch of Frost, and many other shows and films (including the iconic How to Get Ahead in Advertising, with Richard Grant).
Of course, Lorraine Ashbourne has been a fixture in British television since the 1980s, starring in everything fromPlaying the FieldtoJericho, and is arguably more appreciated today than she’s ever been, thanks to wonderful performances inBridgerton, The Crown, andSherwood.
