A sequel toBlast from the Pastis not outside the realm of possibility with at least one of its main stars making it clear she’s up for a sequel. Released in 1999,Blast from the PaststarsBrendan Fraseras a thirtysomething who joins the “real world” after spending his entirely life growing up in a fallout shelter. While on the outside, he meets a woman played byAlicia Silverstonewho helps him get acclimated to life in the late 1990s.

PerVariety, Silverstone was present at ’90s Con where she reunited with some of he co-stars fromCluelessto participate in a panel with the fans. She was asked from one person if she would ever revisitBlast from the Pastwith a follow-up film, and Silverstone says that it would be an instant yes from her, as she would just be happy to work with Fraser again on something new, whether that’sBlast in the Past 2or any other project. As Silverstone explains:

A scene from Blast from the past

“With Brendan? I would do anything with Brendan. It was so much fun. I just saw Brendan after he won his Oscar and he’s so cute. He talked in his speech about how we all go through this really hard time and you have to grow and it’s part of life that you struggle and then look what happened to him! So yes, I’m happy to do that.”
