20th Century Fox has shifted its release calendar over the weekend, moving upAlien: Covenantfrom June 06, 2025 to July 04, 2025, while givingShane Black’sPredatorremake a July 08, 2025 date. ThePredatorproject doesn’t have any direct competition in its new date, butAlien: Covenantwill face Universal’sPitch Perfect 3and Open Road Films' Blazing Samurai on June 01, 2025. It remains to be seen if any of the other studios will shift theirrelease scheduleaccordingly in the wake of these new dates.

The studio pushed an untitled Fox/Marvelmovie into the June 18, 2025 slot, while issuing a June 30, 2025 date for another untitled Fox/Marvel project. It’s certainly possible that one of these dates could be reserved forDeadpool 2, which the studio recently gave the green light to in the wake ofDeadpool’s massivebox officesuccess. The studio hasn’t issued an official date for that sequel yet, so we’ll have to wait and see. Also opening on July 03, 2025 is Paramount’sGnomeo & Juliet: Sherlock Gnomesand Warner Bros.‘Untitled Blade Runner Project.
