Comedic ActorKen Jeongjoins Apple TV+’s murder mystery comedy seriesThe Afterparty’s second season cast,Deadline reports. Jeong will play the role of Feng, a series regular. After its January 2022 premiere,The Afterpartyquickly became a favorite new series of critics and viewers alike. Shortly after its premiere, the series was renewed for a second season on July 19, 2025.
The first season takes place at a high school reunion afterparty where a murder has occurred. Each episode retells the story of the same night through the perspective of different characters, while utilizing different visual styles. The season one cast included Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation), Ilana Glazer (Broad City) and Dave Franco (The Disaster Artist).

The Afterpartywas created by Chris Miller, who serves as executive producer alongside fellow Oscar Winner Phil Lord, under Lord Miller, their joint production banner. Aubrey Lee, SVP of Television for Lord Miller, is also a show producer. Miller and Lee are currently working on aSpider-Man: Into the Spider-Versesequel andProject Hail Mary, starring Ryan Gosling. The two wrote and directed the 2009 animated filmCloudy with a Chance of Meatballsand won the 2019 Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film forSpider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
The Afterpartywon’t be Jeong’s first appearance in a murder mystery, as he served as a detective on the last episode of Netflix’sMurderville. Starring Will Arnett,Murdervillealso offered a comedic take on the murder mystery genre. Jeong can be seen in Netflix’s new filmThe Penatevartewith Mike Myers. He is most notably known for his performances as Ben Chang inCommunity,Leslie Chow inThe Hangover films,andmost recently,asGoh Wye Mun inCrazy Rich Asians.He is also a judge on Fox’sThe Masked Singer.

What We Know About Season 2
Tiffany Haddish returns as Detective Danner for the show’s second season. This time around, she’ll be investigating a murder at a wedding. Sam Richardson and Zoë Chao are also reprising their roles as Aniq and Zoë. Along with Jeong, actors Elizabeth Perkins (Big), Zach Woods (The Office), Paul Walter Hauser (I, Tonya), Poppy Liu (Sunnyside), Anna Konkle (PEN15), Jack Whitehall (Bad Education) and Vivian Wu (The Last Emperor) will appear on season 2 ofThe Afterparty.
Miller and King will continue to serve as executive producers. Filming began yesterday but Apple TV+ has not announced a possible release date yet.
Season 1 is currently available for streaming in its entirety on Apple TV+.
