Heath Ledger won the Academy Award for Best Supporting actor in 2009 for his portrayal of the Joker in Christopher Nolan’sThe Dark Knightand that was huge. Normally when superhero movies win, it’s for visual effects, sound editing, soundtracks, or original scores, which isn’t a bad thing at all.
