Ozzy Osbourne’s official cause of death has been disclosed, just two weeks after the Black Sabbath frontman andreality TV personality died at the age of 76. According to a death certificate recently filed by his daughter Aimee Osbourne at a registry in London and obtained by the New York Times, Osbourne died from “acute myocardial infarction,” commonly known as a heart attack, and also suffered from several other health issues, including Parkinson’s and coronary artery disease. The document specifically notes that he died “(a) Out of hospital cardiac arrest (b) Acute myocardial infarction (c) Coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction (Joint Causes).”

Osbourne’s death was announced just 17 days after he performed a star-studded farewell concert at Villa Park with his original Black Sabbath bandmates, playing to a sold-out stadium crowd alongside Guns N' Roses, Metallica, YUNGBLUD, and several other high-profile metal bands. His family released a statement in the wake of his passing that read: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.”

Following the announcement, tributes poured in from fans and well-known figures in the rock world and beyond, with manyremembering Osbourne for his music. The singer-songwriter sold more than 100 million albums between his work with Black Sabbath and his equally successful solo career.
