These characters are all part of a small town that bands together in the face of tragedy.
When a group of cannibal savages kidnap settlers from the small town of Bright Hope, an unlikely team of gunslingers, led by Sheriff Franklin Hunt (Kurt Russell), sets out to bring them home. But their enemy is more ruthless than anyone could have imagined, putting their mission - and survival itself - in serious jeopardy. This is a grittyaction-packedthriller chronicling a terrifying rescue mission in the Old West. This film will actually be the first of two Westerns for Kurt Russell this year, withThe Hateful Eighthitting theaters onChristmas Day.

The film recently had its world premiere at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, where it was met with acclaim from fans and critics alike. With Kurt Russell starring in this critically-acclaimed film, plusThe Hateful Eight, it’s possible he could help start a resurgence of Westerns, a genre steeped in cinematic history that has fallen by the wayside in recent years.
