While the last fewzombie movieshaven’t brought in big business, withScouts Guide to the Zombie ApocalypseandMaggieboth faltering at the box office, it’s a completely different story on TV. AMC’sThe Walking Dead, which just wrapped up the first half ofSeason 6, is going stronger than ever, and pulls in bigger ratings than some network programing. AndAsh Vs. Evil Dead, which premiered this past October and is at the halfway mark ofSeason 1, has proven to be a giant hit with fans and critics alike. Considering that…What would it look like if both shows collided?

Ash Vs. Evil Dead starBruce Campbellhas ‘supposedly’ leaked the script for a crossover with The Walking Dead. And while that show is confirmed to run well into the next decade, with story lines mapped out through Season 12 and counting, this script is short. And sweet. In fact, the whole plot doesn’t stretch beyond a page. Considering that one page of script usually translates to one minute of screen time, we’re looking at a crossover episode that would last roughly :30 seconds.

Coming fromBruce Campbell, of course hisAshley Williamsis the star of this crossover. He’s also theglorified hero. Along for the ride isAndrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes. The setting brings us back to the first episode of The Walking Dead, which aired way back in 2009. Rick is just waking up from his coma.

Dressed in his hospital gown, Rick finds himself disoriented and not sure what has happened. He exits the hospital, and stares on in disbelief. The parking lot is strewn with decaying, decapitated corpses for as far as the eye can see. In the original pilot episode, most of theWalkersstill had their heads intact. So, what the heck is going on here?

As Rick stumbles through the bloody, stink-filled parking lot, he happens upon a car that will be instantly recognizable to any fan of directorSam Raimi. The classic1973 Oldsmobile DeltaRoyale. Ash’s car. It is parked in a spiral of crimson coated bodies. There, sitting on the hood is Ashley Williams himself. He is covered in blood. A stunned and panicked Rick asks, ‘What the hell is going on?’ Ash explains.

“Zombie apocalypse. You might as well go back to sleep, I took car of it.”

End scene. Roll credits. The perfect crossover, don’t you think? Or course, you have to know that this is a joke. But it sure would be fun to see Ash dropped directly into Alexandria, especially with everything that’s gong on there now. It’s doubtful Rick would ever become friends with Ash. And vice versa. But it’s fun to imagine the possibilities, isn’t it? Take a look at the officialTweetfromBruce Campbellhimself.
