WithMasters of the Universe, Mendes is now stepping up into a potentially career-changing role. Amazon MGM Studios is developing the film withthe intention of a theatrical release in 2026. Having been in development hell for years and swapped hands from one studio to the next several times, there is a lot of expectation for the movie to deliver fans a movie that captures the feel of the original franchise. Galitzine and Mendez have strong social media followings, and that could end up bringing a whole new generation to the fantasy saga.

Coincidentally, Galitzine and Mendes are almost exactly the same age as Dolph Lundgren and his co-star Chelsea Field were when playing the respective roles of He-Man and Teela in the originalMasters of the Universe.
