Back in April, we reported that production will begin inFebruary 2016 on Guardians of the Galaxy 2, which will bring back the stars of last year’sGuardians of the Galaxy,Chris Pratt(Star-Lord),Zoe Saldana(Gamora),Dave Bautista(Drax the Destroyer),Vin Diesel(Groot) andBradley Cooper(Rocket Raccoon).Marvelhasn’t officially announced plans for a thirdGuardians of the Galaxymovie yet, but if the sequel is as successful as the first, it wouldn’t be too surprising if Marvel announced a third installment in 2017 afterGuardians of the Galaxy 2hits theaters. While promoting his upcoming adventureJurassic World,Chris Prattrevealed that he has signed on for threeGuardians of the Galaxyin total, plus “another couple” movies in the MCU, which could be either spinoffs featuring his Star-Lord character, or even the two-partAvengers: Infinity War Part 1andAvengers: Infinity War Part 2.

“I’m tied to doing three more, or five more,Guardians of the Galaxyor whatever it is, you know, two more Guardians plus another couple.”

While it’s certainly possible thatChris Pratt’s Star-Lord could appear in one or both of the Infinity War movies, there is also a strong possibility that he could also pop up inMarvel’s other upcoming cosmic adventures, such asCaptain MarvelorInhumans, slated for release in 2018 and 2019 respectively. Marvel is well-known for locking down their stars to multi-picture deals, but we’ll have to wait and see what other movies the actor is signed on for.Chris Prattalso revealed that he recently met with directorJames Gunnto discussGuardians of the Galaxy 2for the first time, and while he wouldn’t delve into any specifics regarding the story, the actor had this to say about his director.

“I got teary-eyed. He’s so [frick]ing smart and peculiar. [Gunn] just knows me too well to tell me too much.”
