Haim’s family has also been honoring the late actor in honor of his would-be 50th birthday. Using the hashtag #forever38, his sister, Cari Haim, wrote on Twitter, “My brother #coreyhaim would have turned 50 today. Thinking of him.”

There are also countless fans honoring Haim for the occasion. One such tweet says, “Happy 50th Birthday to the sweetest and purest soul ever, I wish you were here for your 50th, and to see all the love and support everyone has for you. We all miss you so much!”

Rising to great fame in the 1980s as one of the era’s most popular child stars, Corey Haim appeared in classic films likeMurphy’s Romance,Silver Bullet, andLicense to Drive. He is especially revered for his role inthe iconic vampire movieThe Lost Boys, which also starred Corey Feldman. The duo went on to co-star in films likeDream a Little Dream,National Lampoon’s Last Resort, andBusted. They reunited for the sequelLost Boys: The Tribein 2008 and co-starred on their own A&E reality seriesThe Two Coreys.

Last year, Feldman released the documentaryMy Truth: The Rape of 2 Coreys. The harrowing film explores their friendship and asserts that they were both abused by sexual predators when they were working as child actors in Hollywood. Feldman made the same claims in his 2013 memoirCoreyography. With the doc, Feldman said his hope was to bring justice to the people who allegedly abused Haim.

Corey Haim is clearly loved just as much now as he has always been. If he were still with us today, we could only imagine he’d still be collaborating with Corey Feldman on new projects.
