In exactly two weeks from today, 20th Century Fox will finally unleash theR-ratedsuperhero adventureDeadpoolin theaters nationwide. Fans have been waiting years for this adaptation ofRob Liefeld’s beloved comic book, so while the countdown continues,20th Century Foxhas released a new clip, plus five TV spots. The clip is essentially a longer version of a scene we’ve already seen in previously-released trailers, where Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) uses her supernatural powers to take on the powerful Angel Dust (Gina Carano).
Thankfully, we have another special surprise for fans, withThe Hollywood Reporterconfirming thatDeadpoolwill air a new TV spot during theSuper Bowlon Sunday, February 7. For those who will be in the San Francisco area during the big game, 20th Century Fox has lined up a number of different promotional events as well. StarRyan Reynoldswill be running a food truck and handing out the Merc’s favorite food, chimichangas on Friday night, and on Saturday night, the studio will take over a local bar near the stadium, which will be renamed Sister Margaret’s Bar after the watering hole in the movie.
The studio will also hold the official press junket at the bar, whereRyan Reynoldsand his co-starT.J. Millerare expected to serve drinks and play darts with the journalists. The official junket screening will be held on Friday night at IMAX AMC Metreon in downtown San Francisco, which is also expected to be attended by football players and other athletes in town for the big game. 20th Century Fox will also take over Snapchat on Sunday to promote the movie.

If these projections are accurate, the R-rated Deadpool will have a higher opening weekend than both the originalX-MenandX-Men: First Class.
