The movie has been gaining positive reviews from critics and will more than likely end up doing pretty well throughout the rest of its theatrical run. Olivia Wilde’s directorial debutBooksmartdebuted at number six over the holiday weekend. The teen comedy has also been receiving positive reviews and it brought in $8.6 million.
A Dog’s Journeywas able to take the seventh spot this weekend after earning $5.5 million. The family movie has earned nearly $50 million at the box office in its two weeks in theaters.
