Martin Freemanis featured inBlack Pantheras C.I.A. agent Everett True after making his debut inCaptain America: Civil Warand now the actor has revealed that Ross will show up in futureMarvelCinematic Universe movies. In a new interview promotingBlack Panther, Martin Freeman said that he will be in future MCU projects asEverett Ross. There is a lot of speculation about theCaptain Marvelconnection since it takes place in the early 90s, which makes sense in Ross' timeline as well for his time in service. However, the mention of his Air Force background may have only been brought up inBlack Pantherto make it seem realistic when he was remotely flying the ship back on Wakanda.

Martin Freeman could also show up inInfinity Warand the still untitledAvengers 4, since we now know that he makes it out ofBlack Pantheralive as shown in the mid-credit scene when T’Challa is making his U.N. announcement about Wakanda no longer being separatists. There’s alsoAnt-Man and the Wasp, which will have a large C.I.A. presence, so it seems logical that Everett Ross could pop up there as well. Freeman has just confirmed that he’ll be in future movies, which just has everybody guessing about where he’ll pop up next.

Captain Marvelhas yet to make anyfurther casting announcementssince it was announced that Jude Law, Ben Mendelsohn, and DeWanda Wise had joined the cast. It’s very possible that Martin Freeman could show up as Everett Ross inCaptain Marveland then show up inAvengers 4as well. This is speculation at this point in time, but really anything is possible for Everett Ross' future in the MCU. Freeman was obviously tight-lipped about his future with Marvel, which is completely understandable. He’s far from a major player in the movies, but his presence always elevates the scenes that he’s in.

While we wait to figure out where Everett Ross pops up next,Black Pantheris ripping up the box office and exceeding expectations. The movie is now the biggest opening for the month of February in box office history and has the second highest Thursday preview screening of Marvel Cinematic history. Overenthusiastic fans have tried to sneak in using the ol' 2 people in a trench coat trick and star Michael B. Jordan went to a screening in secret to gauge audience reactions.
