The classicTop Geargang is back, but this time, it is on Amazon and the show isn’t calledTop Gear. After months of waiting, Amazon has finally announced the premiere date forThe Grand Tour, the new show that has all three of the classicTop Gearhosts doing what they do best. Yes,Jeremy Clarkson,James MayandRichard Hammondare all on board for The Grand Tour, which is set to debut exclusively on Amazon Prime this November.
Amazon made a deal with the trio for a new show last year, but the details have been pretty quiet up to now. On Thursday,Amazonfinally uploaded the first trailer for the show to YouTube, revealing thepremiere dateand title. The trailer should be extremely encouraging toTop Gearfans, as it is the usual amount of bombastic. It may be calledThe Grand Tour, but it definitely looks likeAmazon Presents Top Gear, which is pretty much the best case scenario.Jay Marine, Vice President of Amazon Prime Video EU, had this to say about the show in a statement following the announcement.

“Customers have been desperate to find out when they can watch their favorite team back on screen, so we are very excited to announce thelaunch dateof one of the most globally anticipated shows of 2016. The guys have been having a blast filming the show around the world and we can’t wait for fans to see it weekly beginning November 18, only on Amazon Prime Video.”
BBC’sTop Gearwas one of the most popular shows in the world during its run withJeremy Clarkson,James MayandRichard Hammond. However, there had been incidents involvingClarksonover the years, and when he reportedly punched one of the producers in 2015, that was the last straw. He was fired from the show.James MayandRichard Hammonddid not want to continue the show without him, so they all walked away, and Amazon came to the rescue.

Top Geardidn’t fare nearly as well last season with the show’s new hosts,FriendsstarMatt LeBlancand radio host but notCaptain AmericastarChris Evans. The latter left the show after just one season andLeBlancis not yet committed to doing another.The Grand Tourhas been picked up for three seasons by Amazon and will feature car-centric segments filmed all around the world, as well as segments filmed in front of a live audience inside a large tent, just like the trio had done onTop Gearfor years.
Amazon also released the first promotional poster for the show to go along with the announcement trailer, which features the gang staring off into the distance at something in front of a light blue background. The poster also gives us a good look at the new logo for the show.The Grand Touris set to hitAmazon Primeon November 18, with new episodes dropping every Friday for 12 weeks.
