Fast X, orFast and Furious 10,is an upcoming action film and sequel to 2021sF9.Directed by Louis Leterrier,Fast Xis the 11th feature-film in theFast and Furiousfranchise if one countsHobbs and Shaw. Since this will be one of the final installments of the franchise, we better get ready for the fastest ride of our lives. The first Fast and Furiousfilm came out all the way back in 2001, meaning that we have had 21 years of fast cars and epic races, and it seems to be coming to a close.
The story of this installment is set to be released in two parts,Fast Xbeing the first, although not many details have been released yet; as of now, it’s set to be released August 08, 2025, and it’s follow-up is set for February 2024. Fans' imaginations must be running wild, who knows what is to come, but they will have to wait until 2023 to find out. The fluctuatingcharacters of theFast and Furiousfranchise have been played by a massive range of fantastic actors, making for one of the most epic casts in the action genre, so let’s take a look at the cast ofFast Xand see where we might recognize them from.
Vin Diesel
Of course the epicVin Dieselis set to return to our screens forFast X, andwe couldn’t imagine it without him. Diesel began auditioning in the early ’90s but found it a struggle to land some roles. Instead, why not just create your own film? In 1995, he created his own low-budget short film,Multi-Facial; only two years later in ‘97, he made his first feature length film,Strays, which he also wrote, produced and directed. He might have struggled in the beginning, butMulti-Facialsparked his career when Steven Spielberg noticed him, landing him a role in 1998 war movieSaving Private Ryan.
Of course, his reputation grew greatly through theFast and Furiousfranchise, but more recently, fans have found that Diesel isn’t just a cool guy who drives fast cars. They might recognize his voice as the adorable Groot in the MCU, appearing in 2014Guardians of the Galaxy(as well as Vol. 2),Avengers Infinity War(2018),Avengers Endgame,andThor: Love and Thunder. Groot also appeared in 2018’sRalph Breaks the Internetand theDisney+ animated seriesI Am Grootearlier this year.Avatarfans will also be excited to hear that he has been cast in the upcomingAvatarmovie,Avatar: The Way of Water, though his role has yet to be announced.
Jason Momoa
Jason Momoawill star inFast Xas a villain. Momoa made his debut as Jason Loane in the action drama seriesBaywatch: Hawaiibetween 1999 and 2001. Not long after, he appeared in thegreat SyFy Channel original seriesStargate Atlantis,and fans then recognized him in the first two seasons ofGame of Thronesas Khal Drogo.
These roles kick-started his career, which has become massive in recent years. He has starred in more recent hits like the Apple TV+ seriesSeein 2019 and as Arthur Curry / Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), which is set to release its sequel,Aquaman and the Lost Kingdomin 2023. Fans will also recognize him as Duncan in the 2021 science fiction adaptation,Dune, and will star inSlumberlandon Netflix.
Jason Statham
English actorJason Stathamis most well known for his appearance in action-thriller movies, playing characters who are typically rough and violent. In his youth, Statham would often work the local market stalls, which actually inspired his role in the Guy Ritchie crime films,Lock, Stock and Two Smoking BarrelsandSnatch.These roles were such a success that it sparked a new career for Statham, leading him to roles in theTransportertrilogy in the early ’00s andThe Italian Job(2003), becoming a well recognized and respectable actor.
He also later gained success from his appearance inThe Expendables, but of course became incredibly renowned forThe Fast and Furious Franchise,includingthe most recent spin-off,Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shawin 2019. Although he has previously been criticized for the lack of variety in his roles, we still greatly appreciate the exciting and action-packedperformances that Statham bringsin all of his action movies.
Charlize Theron
Charlize Theronis one of the world’s highest-paid actresses and fans will recognize her from winning various awards, such as an Academy Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award and even a Golden Globe. First taking to the screen in a big way with 1997sThe Devil’s Advocate, she then spent the following two years appearing inMighty Joe YoungandThe Cider House Rules. Theron’s reputation skyrocketed when she portrayedreal-life serial killerAileen Wuornos inMonster,for which she gained incredible reviews from viewers and critical acclaim.

Helen Mirren, or rather Dame Helen Mirren, was awarded her title (DBE) in the Queen’s 2003 Birthday Honours for her services to drama and to this day is one of only 24 performers to have achieved the Triple Crown of Acting. When she first appeared as Cleopatra inAntony and Cleopatraat the National Youth Theater in 1965, her acting career was on its way to fame. After many years of success on the stage, film and television studios chased her, resulting in fabulous performances inThe Cook, the Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover, an appearance inThe Madness of King George,andThe Last Station.
Fans will recognize her, however, for her work inPrime Suspect, for which she won three British Academy Television Awards for Best Actress. She also landed a role in 2005 as Queen Elizabeth I in the seriesElizabeth I, followed by Queen Elizabeth II in the filmThe Queena year later. Her part within theFast and Furiousfranchise consisted of appearing in 2017’sThe Fate of the Furious,Hobbs & Shawin 2019, and the most recent installment,F9last year. With such brilliant talent, fans can’t wait to see her on the big screen again with theFastfamily in 2023.
Michelle Rodriguez
Back in 2000,Michelle Rodriguezbegan her acting career appearing in an independent filmGirlfight,going on to win a Gotham Award for Best Debut Performance. Her career was really kickstarted when she became recognizable as Letty Ortiz in theFast and Furiousfranchise, which led her to land a role as Rain Ocampo in theResident Evilfranchise. More recently, fans will recognize Rodriguez from roles inMachete,Machete Kills,andTurbo.Her role in the heist movieWindowin 2018 also gained praise from audiences and critics alike, and we can’t wait to see her return in the fast lane inFast X.
Tyrese Gibson
Tyrese Gibsonfirst landed a role onscreen inthe coming-of-age movieBaby Boyin 2001, leading him into joining theFast and Furiousfranchise. Later exploring his talent in action, he appeared inFour Brothersin 2005 and appeared as Robert Epps in theTransformersfranchise. He also expanded into comedy, starring inRide Along 2, and more recently branched into the superhero world inMorbiusearlier this year.
Aside from acting, Gibson isalso well known for his music and now has a successful career in R&B, even being nominated for a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album for his 2011 album,Open Invitation. Tyrese’s sixth album,Black Rose, was released in 2015, and hit number one on the U.S. Billboard 200, and has become his most successful record to date.
