During last night’s episode ofTalking Dead, it was finally revealed that theFear the Walking Deadcrossover character is none other than Lennie James' Morgan Jones, and now we have our first look at the actor on set. AMC has released two new photos with Lennie James on the Austin, Texas set ofFear the Walking DeadSeason 4, while theFear the Walking DeadFacebook and Twitter pages debuted a live video feed featuring the actor on the set, thanking fans for their support of his beloved Morgan Jones character, who now moves toFear the Walking Deadas part of thisWalking Dead crossover. Here’s whatWalking Deadshowrunner andFear the Walking Deadexecutive producer Scott M. Gimple had to say in a statement.
“Lennie James' brilliance and humanity in his portrayal ofMorgan Joneshas been part of the DNA of what makesThe Walking Deadso fantastic since the very beginning. Morgan’s story will continue in this season ofThe Walking Dead, and then, it begins again in the upcoming season ofFear the Walking Dead, pushing the series, and theWaking Deaduniverse itself, into new directions and possibilities.”

While several of the producers often shot down possibilities of a crossover between both shows,Walking Deadcomic book creator Robert Kirkman finally confirmed thatThe Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Deadwould finally cross over. It was revealed that one character would cross over between shows, and while there was speculation the crossover will happen duringThe Walking DeadSeason 8, it will actually happen duringFear the Walking DeadSeason 4. Here’s what newFear the Walking Deadshowrunners Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg had to say in their statement.
“As longtime fans of Lennie James and his portrayal of Morgan Jones, we are thrilled to have him join the cast of Fear the Walking Dead}. We look forward to working with Lennie to continue the journey Morgan began onThe Walking Dead.”

When theWalking Deadcrossover was first announced, many fans suspected that it would beMichael Cudlitz’s Abraham Fordwho would be the crossover character, since he was recently killed off and his character was originally from Texas before the zombie outbreak, where the new season ofFear the Walking Deadis set. The Season 3 finale revealed that the show would shift locations to Houston, although there is no word yet on how Morgan Jones will be integrated into the show, which is a few years behind the timeline ofThe Walking Dead. Here’s what Lennie James had to say in a statement about shifting gears toFear the Walking Dead.

Along with Lennie James' Morgan Jones, a few more new cast members were recently announced forFear the Walking DeadSeason 4, with Jenna Elfman and Garret Dillahunt coming aboard. Unfortunately, no details were given about their characters just yet, but now that filming has gotten under way on this new season, perhaps we’ll hear more soon.
