Polarity worked high up at Vought, and wanted his son, Andre (Perdormo), to take over the mantel. Chance Perdomo died in 2023 following a motorcycle accident weeks before principal photography on Season 2 was scheduled to begin. The producers made the right decision not to recast the role, and re-wrote the season around Perdomo’s death to honor the actor.

Speaking toTV Line, Patrick Thomas explained thatGen VSeason 2 will honor Perdomo. The actor didn’t want to reveal any major spoilers, but he first confirmed that he was returning as Polarity in the second season. “I don’t want to give too much away, butPolarity will be in Season 2,“he began. Thomas then went on to tease how the season is a love letter to his late co-star:

Emma, Marie, and Cate looking like they want to calm someone down on Gen V

“Season 2 is really going to be, in a lot of ways, a tribute to Chance Perdomo.Hopefully, we do him justice.”

How ‘Gen V’ Ties Into ‘The Boys’

WhenGen Vwas first announced, fans assumed it was a loosely connected spin-off fromThe Boys. The series would expand the world and include some fun cameos, without directly affecting the plot of the franchise’s core show. But,Gen Vhas had a major effect on the franchise, and sets up the fifth and final season ofThe Boys. The facility under Godolkin University was used to create a supe-killing virus. InThe BoysSeason 4, Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) got wind of the experiments, and the team spent the season hunting down the virus touse against Homelander (Anthony Starr).

With Season 5 ofThe Boysset to be the last, it is currently unclear how muchGen VSeason 2 will tie back into the main show. It is also unclear how the series will deal with thedeath of Chance Perdomo.Andre Anderson was a major character in Season 1, and a close ally of Jaz Sinclair’s Marie Moreau. It is expected that, to honor Perdormo, Andre will be killed off between Seasons 1 and 2, rather than just having moved away, especially if Polarity is returning.
