Deadpool 3is still some way off, but there’s no doubt it’s one of the most anticipated movies of the MCU’s future. Not only for the fans but also for its protagonists. Ryan Reynolds andHugh Jackmanwill be making their Marvel Cinematic Universe debut as the Merc with a Mouth and Wolverine following Disney’s purchase of Fox, and they’re preparing incredibly well.

Last week, Reynolds showed the first images of his training for the film and has received a response from his friend and castmate, who is a few months ahead of him in preparing for his role. This is demonstrated by this image published on Jackman’sTwitter, which makes it clear that he is taking his return very seriously:

Deadpool 3will mark the Australian actor’s ninth appearance as the popular mutant, even after confirming he would not return and the character dying inLogan. However, for the peace of mind of the fans, the plot of the 2017 film will not be modified, and we will surely see the characters traveling through time and altering realities to explain the presence of Wolverine.

Will Deadpool 3 Introduce Any Other MCU Debuting Character?

As with every Marvel Studios project,Deadpool 3’s plot details are being kept under wraps. However, considering the nature of the character’s films and the great possibilities it brings to the studio having the X-Men heroes back under their wings, there’s no doubt that several interesting cameos will surprise fans in Shawn Levi’s film.

The chances of some actors from the old mutant franchise that have worked with Jackman, either in the original trilogy orFirst Classand those that followed, seem pretty high.Deadpool 3could even mimicSpider-Man: No Way Homeor the upcomingThe Flash, introducing old versions of characters on a journey between universes.

The film could also feature franchise returns such as Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Zazie Beetz as Domino, Stefan Kapičić as Colossus, or Julian Dennison as Firesfist. Even given the kind of jokes Reynolds and his team pull on Deadpool, Josh Brolin’s return as Cable despite being Thanos in the MCU wouldn’t be far-fetched.Deadpool 3is still quite a ways from release, arriving in theaters on August 05, 2025.
