Invincibleco-creator, Ryan Ottley, wants his titular superhero to face off against (arguably) the strongest superhero in DC Comics,Supermanhimself. Ever since the first days of comic books, fans have asked which heroes from different companies and brandswould win in a fight, and the development of the internet has only furthered these discussions. Well, it’s not just the fans, as the original creators also get in on the action to test if their heroes are the strongest.

Ryan Ottley recently took toRedditto undertake an ‘Ask Me Anything’ Q&A, and was asked about which comic book franchise he’d wantInvincibleto crossover with. Ottley said “Oh, definitely Superman.” Initially, the response seemed like the crossover would be a good match. Both Invincible/Mark Grayson and Superman/Clark Kent hold the same moral values, and are bothdescendants of an alien race. However, in trueInvinciblefashion, Ottley described the crossover as “a gore fest like you wouldn’t believe.”

Invincible Season 3 Poster

Ottley’s ideal match-up would see some other DC characters join Invincible’s crusade against Superman. you may read his full answer below:

“Oh, definitely Superman. And it would be a gore fest like you wouldn’t believe. Viltrumites would get Batman and Lobo on their side and they’d construct a plan to take down Clark and his entire Kryptonian race. Clark would hire Lex Luther out of desperation to help him survive. Let the bloodbath happen DC, don’t be afraid.”

Invincible Season 3 Has Nearly Wrapped Production

Invincible

Based on the comic book character by Robert Kirkman, Invincible follows Mark Grayson,  a seventeen-year-old who leads a seemingly average life save for the fact that he lives behind the shadow of his superhero father, Omni-Man. Mark goes on to develop superhuman abilities, but he must also learn that his father’s legacy isn’t as glitzy and glamorous as he’s been led to believe.

Invinciblewas first released on Prime Video in 2021, and introduced audiences to Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) and hisover-powered superhero father, Nolan Grayson/Omni-Man(J. K. Simmons) in a world where superheroes are common place and Government regulated. Over its two seasons, Invincible has become one of the best animated superhero shows in modern TV, and a consistently strong staple of the flagging superhero genre. Season 2 was released in 2023, and continued the show’s adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s beloved comics.

Invinciblehas beenrenewed for a third seasonon Prime Video, with Seasons 4 and 5 also being confirmed in a now deleted statement (which hasn’t been fully confirmed nor denied by anyone involved). No official release date has been announced for Season 3. However, one of the show’s stars, Ross Marquand (who voices Rudy) has given fans an optimistic update about Season 3’s production schedule, meaning we might not be waiting long for the show’s return. Appearing atGalaxyCon in Oklahoma City, Marquand revealed that Season 3 has “almost wrapped.” The actor said:

Superman & Homelander using heat vision.

“Invincible Season 3, we’re almost wrapped on that. That’s gonna be coming out probably…I don’t want to speak for…because Robert [Kirkman] would be like ‘Don’t tell people anything because we don’t know,’ but I have a feeling it’s probably gonna be early next year.”

Marquand has given fans the first speculative release date for the new season. Kirkman hasn’t commented on Marquand’s estimated release. But, if Marquand is right, it would be safe to assume thatInvincibleSeason 3 will be released in early 2025.
