Dior Came Up During the Defamation Trial

Christi Dembrowski, Johnny Depp’s sister, testified in the early days of the trial. She claimed to have witnessed an incident involving Depp and Amber Heard, allegedly happening when Depp was first in talks with Dior about doing an ad campaign. Dembrowski alleges that Heard berated Depp, appearing to be “in disbelief and sort of disgusted” that the fragrance company wanted to work with the actor.

“Dior? Why would Dior want to do business with you? They’re about class and style, and you don’t have style,” Heard allegedly told Depp.

Dembrowski also noted, “She called him an old fat man… It was insulting. Taking away that one moment, that insult is there.”

What Depp will ultimately have to prove with this trial is that Heard sought to deliberately tarnish his career by allegedly making false allegations about him with her 2018 op-ed. It will be up to the jury to decide if that’s true at the end of the trial. Before then, Heard will be getting her own chance to testify where she’ll have the opportunity to give her side of the story. Meanwhile, Heard hasfired her PR teamto go with a new firm with the hopes of swaying some of the public back over to her side.
