Apple TVhas shared the first official trailer for their upcoming drama movie directed by John Carney (Sing Street),Flora and Son, coming to the streaming platform on September 29.
Starring Eve Hewson, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jack Reynor and Orén Kinlan the story centers on a single mother trying to keep her son out of trouble by getting him an old guitar, hoping he will find in music what he needs to heal and build a better path to go through his teenage years.
On WednesdayApple TV unveiled the first trailerfor the film, which you can check below along with the official synopsis:
“Single mom Flora (Eve Hewson) is at a loss about what to do with her rebellious teenage son, Max (Orén Kinlan). Encouraged by the police to find Max a hobby, Flora tries to occupy him with a beat-up acoustic guitar. With the help of a washed-up LA musician (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Flora and Max discover the transformative power of music. From the musical mind of John Carney, “Flora and Son” explores the bond between a mother and son on a journey toward a new harmony.”
Flora and Sonwill debut on selected theaters on September 22, before arriving to Apple TV on September 29 globally.

Who Are the Stars of Flora and Son?
Joseph Gordon-Levittis probably the most recognizable name within the cast. In 2011, she was part of the cast of Paolo Sorrentino’sThis Must Be the Place,which also included Sean Penn, Frances McDormand, Judd Hirsch, and Kerry Condon among others. Jack Reynor had some minor roles until joining theTransformersfranchise in 2014’sAge of Extinction, and subsequently joining some popular projects such asSing StreetorMidsommar. This year he starred along Chloe Grace Moretz in therecently canceledThe Peripheral, based on William Gibson’s novel of the same name.
For Orén Kinlan this is his third acting job, after participating in 2018 seriesTaken Downand 2023 Claire Dix’sSunlight, which premiered on Glasgow Film Festival on March.
