The film follows a group put together by a big pharma company who travel to a remote island where dinosaurs roam free. The film stars Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Rupert Friend, Jonathan Bailey, David Iacono, Luna Blaise, Audrina Miranda, and Ed Skrein.
Made for $180 million,Jurassic World Rebirthhas grossed nearly $530 million at the box office in less than two weeks since its release. It’s still early to confirm a final number, but these figures are enough to predict a winner in the franchise that has made more than $6 billion at the box office.
The critical reception is unfortunately not as good as the box office numbers. The critics' score at Rotten Tomatoes remains at 52%, which isn’t as high as everyone expected. Nevertheless, it is clearly a film that should be measured by its audience score, which on Rotten Tomatoes sits at 71%. The Letterboxd rating is 2.8 over 5, and IMDb registers a rating of 6.2/10. Though not a franchise favorite, it’s a solid result for theseventh part in the dinosaur franchise.
When Is ‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ Coming to Streaming?
Jurassic World Rebirthwill release on digital platforms on July 26, 2025, a little over a month after its release in theaters. Though it feels like the film could have had a longer theatrical run, this is Universal’s attempt to capitalize on the home media market before the film inevitably lands on streaming. Unfortunately, the release date for regular streaming under a subscription plan (like Netflix, HBO Max, or Prime Video) is still to be confirmed, but it will surely land on Peacock, following the trend of Universal’s previous releases.
