The series, which launched on Spectrum Originals in May 2019, earned praise from critics andBad Boysfans as it locked up over 3.4 million viewers to date and has been the #1 viewed series on the Spectrum On Demand platform.

From theuniverse of the Jerry Bruckheimer Bad Boy franchise,L.A.’s FinestSeason One took us into the lives of former DEA agent, Syd Burnett (Gabrielle Union), who left her complicated past behind to join the LAPD, and detective Nancy McKenna (Jessica Alba), who juggled her demanding case-load with a rebellious teenage step-daughter. Together they took on the most dangerous criminals in Los Angeles and became a force to be reckoned with - both on the streets and in each other’s lives.

WhenL.A.’s Finest Season Two returns, Syd mourns the sudden loss of a friend and struggles to find answers, while McKenna must deal with the aftermath of Izzy’s kidnapping and the rift it has left in her marriage. But when a powerful crimewave in Koreatown threatens to destroy the community, Syd, McKenna and the team must find those responsible before it’s too late.

L.A.’s Finest was first developed back in 2017when the pilot was written by Brandon Margolis and Brandon Sonnier. NBC ordered the pilot in 2018, but declined to pick it up, which is when Charter Communications decided to step in to give the series a green light. Afterwards, Gabrielle Union signed on to officially star in the series, reprising her role of Sydney “Syd” Burnett from theBad Boys II.

In addition to Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba,L.A.’s Finestalso stars Zack Gilford and Duane Martin as Ben Walker and Ben Baines, respectively, Ryan McPartlin as Patrick McKenna, Sophie Reynolds as Isabel “Izzy” McKenna, and Ernie Hudson as Joseph Vaughn. Season Two guest stars include Orlando Jones and Kelly Rowland. From the looks of things, season 2 istaking everything from the first season and ramping it all up. Fans of theBad Boysfranchise should be in for a treat when season 2 premieres in June.
