Sony Classics has set a summer release date forOh, Hi!, a buzzy romantic comedy they acquired from the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. Directed by Sophie Brooks,Oh, Hi!starsThe BearactorMolly GordonandThe Perks of Being a Wall Flower’sLogan Lermanand follows a young couple named Iris (Gordon) and Isaac (Lerman) on their first romantic weekend getaway as a couple, which quickly goes awry when Iris goes to extreme lengths to prove to him that they are meant to be together. The dark romantic comedy also featuresThunderbolts*star Geraldine Viswanathan andSearch Party’s John Reynolds.
Deadline has confirmed that Sony Pictures has setOh, Hi!for a limited theatrical release on Jul 05, 2025. The film will expand into more theaters following its limited release. Sony Pictures acquired the distribution rights toOh, Hi!in March 2025, two months after it debuted at the Sundance Film Festival. Writer and director Sophie Brooks said back in March when Sony Pictures Classics acquired the distribution rights:

Jourdain Searles of The Hollywood Reportersaid, “Despite its narrative issues, there’s a lot to like about ‘Oh, Hi!’ With its playful writing and game cast, the film is sure to attract young fans and find its audience.” Ross Bonaime of Collider, meanwhile, said, “This clever mixture of love and Misery feels almost like a throwback to the halcyon days of mumblecore, where all a comedy really needed was a killer concept and a fantastic cast — whichOh, Hi!has in spades on both counts.”
