Due to legal issues surrounding actress Lori Loughlin in the midst of a college admissions scandal, her character Becky Katsopolis will not be returning toFuller House. Bad news continues to roll in for the television star, who found herself in some serious legal trouble earlier this week. Along with husband Mossimo Giannulli, Loughlin is alleged to have taken part in a bribery scheme to ensure the placement of their daughters into the University of Southern California. With her alleged crimes making headlines, Netflix has reportedly made the decision to leave Aunt Becky out of the final season ofFuller House. It remains to be seen how the character’s absence will be addressed, and if husband Jesse (John Stamos) and sons Nicky and Alex (Blake and Dylan Tuomy-Wilhoit) will still appear.

Getting fired fromFuller Houseisn’t the only gig to be taken away from Lori Loughlin.Hallmark has officially confirmed they are cutting all tieswith Loughlin as well. The actress had been a mainstay for the network, appearing in various original movies over the years in addition to her recurring role on the drama seriesWhen Calls the Heart. Between her role as Aunt Becky and constant appearances on the Hallmark channel, Loughlin had always seemed like such a stand-up actress, which makes the allegations against her all the more surprising. Facing stiff consequences for these crimes, it’s hard to argue Hallmark’s reasoning for deciding to cut ties with the seemingly-wholesome actress.

According to the FBI,Lori Loughlinwas part of a group of 50 people across the United States accused with bribing school officials to have their children admitted into prestigious colleges. Between 2011 and 2018, wealthy parents collectively paid more than $25 million in thebribery scheme. Some of the tactics used to advance the children into these schools included faking SAT and entrance exam scores. In the case of Loughlin and her husband, the pair are said to have paid $500,000 in bribes to have both of their daughters accepted into USC as members of the college’s rowing team. Neither daughter had ever previously participated in the sport.

The fifth and final season ofFuller Houseis expected to premiere on Netflix sometime this year. Although it’s possible the show could be picked up elsewhere, the last episode of Season 5 could be the final time we’ll ever see the Tanner and Fuller families. It’s unfortunate Aunt Becky won’t be there to say goodbye. This information comes to us fromTMZ.
