M3GAN is a life-sized robotic doll designed by a state-of-the-art toy company headed by its designer Gemma. M3GAN serves as a best friend and confidante to a little girl named Cady, who is recently orphaned and living under the care of her aunt Gemma. M3GAN is initially everything a guardian could hope for: she is attentive, playful, and protective over her ward. Then one day, things take a drastic turn for the worse when Gemma makes the unfathomable decision to link her M3GAN prototype with Cady so that she can devote more time to her work as a roboticist. M3GAN then becomes unmanageable and destroys anyone she perceives as a threat to herself and Cady.
M3GANwas directed by Gerard Johnstone and stars Allison Williams as Gemma, Brian Jordan Alvarez as Cole, Ronny Chieng as David Lin, and Violet McGraw as Caddy.
