The man we once knew as Luke Skywalker says that he “doesn’t care anymore” about returning to theStar Warsuniverse after the death of Carrie Fisher. Hamill could very well end up returning for J.J. Abrams’Star Wars 9after the death of his character in the previous movie, appearing as a Force Ghost. But it appears that the idea of returning has been “tarnished” for the actor since Fisher died in December of 2016. The Han Solo character is dead, Leia reportedly won’t be in the next installment, and Mark Hamill is unsure about returning now that he’s the last one who can.
Mark Hamill probably gets asked multiple times a day aboutreturning to the Star Wars universe, which is still possible. But will he?
