An active crime scene goes on lockdown asPeter Facinelli’s Maxwell Lord andChyler Leigh’s Alex argue over what just happened in the first of three new clips from theSupergirlmidseason premiere. The show returns to CBS in just a few short days, with all-new episodes kicking off January 4. The second clip hasCalista Flockhartas Cat Grant being very accusatory towards Kara, because she knows the superhero’s big secret. The third and final clip has Non trying to discover Martian Manhunter’s own deep, dark secrets.

With Astra in captivity at the DEO, her husband, Non (Chris Vance) captures Hank, leading to a tense standoff between the two sides. Also, Kara continues to refute Cat’s allegations that she is Supergirl in the all-new episodeBlood Bonds.Supergirlfans were left with a big shocker in the fall finaleHostile Takeoverearlier this month. It has been revealed thatDavid Harewood’s Hank Henshaw is none other than the Martian Manhunter. What does this mean for the rest of the season moving forward?

InBlood Bonds, Astra (Laura Benanti), the evil twin sister of Kara’s mother Alura, is being held in captivity at the DEO. We see that Cat believes, “beyond a shadow of a doubt,” that Kara is in factSupergirl. Toyman will also be introduced in the midseason premiere. In the DC Comics, Toyman was also known as Winslow “Winn” Schott, portrayed in the series byJeremy Jordan, but since the show threw fans a curveball by turning Hank Henshaw, a.k.a. Cyborg Superman in the comics, into Martian Manhunter, it’s possible that a different character could be taking up the Toyman mantle.
