Who Is Starring in ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Season 4?
MCU superstarJeremy Rennerwill be back to leadMayor of Kingstownfor its upcoming fourth season, reprising his role as Michael “Mike” McLusky, who takes over as “mayor” of the titular company town following the death of his older brother Mitch in the series premiere. How Did Season 3 of ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ End?
In the explosive third season finale,Captain Kareem Moore (Michael Beach)found himself caught up in an ambush by the Aryans when he attempted to break up a fight going on in the prison yard, with Kareem seemingly choosing his brutal fate to avoid having to turn in officer Kevin (Denny Love) and identify Bunny as the mastermind behind a deadly explosion. Kareem provokes the group of violent inmates so that they will kill him, thus making the ultimate sacrifice. He wasn’t the only casualty in the final episode, as Iris (Emma Laird) also perished after she overdosed on pain pills.
With tensions rising,Mike eliminated Russian gangster/prison inmate Milo Sunter (Aidan Gillen)due to his many personal transgressions, and his brother Kyle was arrested for murder after he attempted to shoot at Robert in order to protect a group of innocent civilians. Though Mike was able to finally rid Kingstown of the constant looming threat of the Russian mafia, the resilient mayor will find his past actions coming back to haunt him in the upcoming season.

What Will the Fourth Season Be About?
Though no official synopsis has been released regarding the fourth season, series co-creator Hugh Dillon (who also portrays Lt. Ian Ferguson) sat down with Entertainment Weekly to tease fans about what they can expect from the forthcoming installment in light of the previous season’s jaw-dropping finale, saying: “It’s a detonation, not an escalation. The blade’s sharper. The cuts go deeper. It’s about the intricacies of human emotion under pressure, and the choices we make when we have no good choices left. It’s an incendiary season 4.”
The upcoming season will pick up after the thrilling events of its predecessor and will explore the fallout of all the troubles that have plagued Mike and how they will affect his position as town mayor. Dillion hinted that Mike will not only be going toe-to-toe withEdie Falco’s prison warden Nina Hobbsas he attempts to look out for his own people in the prison system, but he will also have to try and prevent a full-fledged gang war from erupting on the streets of Kingstown. With the Russian mafia no longer a threat, new threats and gangs will emerge to try and take over. Dillion told EW:

“The past doesn’t catch up with you. It reloads. So it’s coming and, in Mike’s case, it is right there. And Mike isn’t somebody who runs, and that’s what’s interesting. He stands and fights and he’s not ruled by fear or greed. So we just follow the truth of this character.”
When Will ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Season 4 Premiere?
Production onSeason 4 ofMayor of Kingstownbegan in January 2025 and wrapped up during the first half of the year, and the new installment is slated to premiere on July 12, 2025, on Paramount+. The first two episodes of the season will drop at the same time, and it is expected to consist of 10 episodes like its fellow seasons.
