Back in September, Fox announced that their hit sitcomNew Girlwill be getting a new roommate, withMegan Foxsigning on for a multi-episode guest starring arc in the show. We got our first brief glimpse at the actress in atrailerthat surfaced in December, butEntertainment Weeklyhas debuted a new trailer and photos from next week’s episode,Reagan, airing Tuesday, February 9, with even more footage of the guest star. This trailer reveals that the actress' character, Reagan, has a history with Cece (Hannah Simone), who both “hooked up” at the MTV Beach House.
The casting move was made afterZooey Deschanelhad a baby in real life, causing her to be absent from the show, leading toMegan Foxbeing cast. Her character Reagan will debut in next week’s episode, and is described as a straight-shooting pharmaceutical sales rep, who comes to town on business and rents out Jess' room, which shakes things up for Nick (Jake Johnson), Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Winston (Lamorne Morris). Series creator Liz Meriwether said last year that she specifically wrote the Reagan character forMegan Fox.
“It’s insane to me that such a gorgeous person can be so funny, but I guess we just all have to accept it. I’ve been a fan of hercomedic skillssinceThis Is 40, and I’m so excited to have her on the show. We had Megan in mind when we wrote this part - she’s the perfect person to come in and shake these guys up.”
TheReaganepisode will also mark New Girl’s 100th episode through their five-season run. Otherguest starsslated to appear this season includeJohn Cho, Taran Killam,Henry Winkler, Julie Hagerty, Sam Richardson,Peter Gallagher,Nasim PedradandRob Riggle. It still isn’t clear exactly how many episodesMegan Foxhas signed on for, but we’ll find out soon enough.
