Warning! The following contains SPOILERS for the season one finale of My Adventures with Superman.
As expected, Thanksgiving was a complete train wreck at the Kent farm. During the season one finale ofMy Adventures with Superman, titledHearts of the Father, General Lane (Joel de la Fuente) showed up to celebrate the holiday with his daughter, Lois (Alice Lee) and the Kent family. Unfortunately, Clark (Jack Quaid) opened the portal for the Kryptonian invaders to come through when he accidentally triggered the File X orb. But the conclusion of the first season is only the beginning. Co-producer Josephine Campbell said in an interview with theSuperman Homepage:

“So, it’s not announced yet. And there’s nothing I can say until it’s announced. So, I was gonna say, the season premiere is coming out. Stay tuned for Season 2. We got the wonderful task of being able to make them both around the same time, and I’m very excited for this. There’s so much stuff in season two that I think is gonna blow people’s minds. So yeah, just stay tuned, keep watching.”
What fans of the Superman mythology know for sure is that a much more powerful “General” is going to be in the mix during season two. The masked Kryptonian who was clad in armor — and the leader of the alien armada — said a word that may not mean anything to the casual fan. However, one man and one man’s image alone is conjured to mind when the word “kneel” is uttered in the Man of Steel’s rich history.

Season one ofMy Adventures with Supermanended on a very good note for fans of the Adult Swim series. Sure, Jonathan Kent (Reid Scott) was never going to get that turkey cooked, but a little of Clark’s heat vision made everything better. And while the armored Kryptonian who wants Earth to “kneel” before him is obviously General Zod, the big reveal was when Jimmy Olsen (Ishmel Sahid) announced that he had become a millionaire!
The fun ofMy Adventures with Supermanlies with the core relationship between the close-knit trio of Clark Kent, Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen — that is unquestionably the heart of the show. During the course of the season, Lois pieces together that Clark isSuperman. And, as it turns out, Jimmy figured out his friend’s secret years beforehand during his and Clark’s freshman year of college.
Jimmy never said anything to Lois or Clark, though, because he knew his buddy would tell him when the time was right. Co-producer Josephine Campbell discussed the need to out Clark’s secret identity early on, so the team could come together. Co-producer Campbell said in the same interview:
“Yeah, so there’s sort of two decisions with that. And one is, it was actually a plot point that we had during our pitch, and Brendan [Clougher] and Jake [Wyatt] had sort of come up with it, which is that this show is ‘My Adventures With Superman,’ which is just as much Lois and Jimmy, as it is Superman.
So, for us, like getting them together as a team and actually finally having them all on the same side, all in on the secret, was something that was sort of important to us. It was something that is different than a lot of Superman media."
Campbell also went on record and said thatseason two will consist of 10 episodes. But other than that, the co-producer ofMy Adventures with Supermandidn’t give much away about Clark, Lois and Jimmy’s future together. But that General Zod tease means that things will get a whole lot tougher for the Man of Steel moving forward.
At the conclusion of the season one finale, Superman shut the portal and kept the Kryptonian fleet from invading Earth. Lois managed to talk her father down, and General Lane did spare Clark’s life, but who knows what happens after Jimmy revealed he sold Flamebird for $5.6 million.
The possibilities are endless when season two finally comes to fruition, and all 10 episodes from the inaugural season ofMy Adventures with Supermanare now available to stream on Max.
