A Brutal Video Review ofPixelsNSFW Language

Sony Pictures’Pixelshits theaters for preview screenings tonight, but for those who rely on reviews from critics, it may not be worth seeing. The action-comedy currently has a paltry 15% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and one YouTube critic dubbedMovieBobhas delivered an epic video review, chocked full of adult language, where he callsPixelsan “unmitigated piece of god-awful f—ing dogs–t.” That’s just in the first minute of this 10-minute review, which includes footage from the movie and much more.

James Francois Jon Snow!

The AOL web seriesMaking a Scene with James Francoreturns for its second season later this year. To help promote the show’s return, a new poster has debuted, featuring star/creatorJames Francodoing his bestJon Snowimpersonation fromGame of Thrones, sitting on the Iron Throne. While fans continue to speculate about whether or notKit Harington’s character is really dead, they will at least get to seeJames Francoportray this iconic character in Making a Scene. While the web series' first season focused on re-creating iconic movie scenes, this new season will focus on TV shows, so perhaps there will be even aFreaks and Geeksscene this season!

HowJ.J. Abrams' Style Will AffectStar Wars 7

Hello Film Guyhas put together a comprehensive 16-minute video essay that examines the visual style of directorJ.J. Abrams, and how that may translate into his work on the highly-anticipatedStar Wars: The Force Awakens. For those wary of spoilers, this video doesn’t delve into the plot, but uses footage from the first two trailers, examining the filmmaker’s visual aesthetic, shown in his previous work. And yes, the lens flares are addressed as well in this thorough and unique video. Speaking ofStar Wars…

Sad Hill Productionsand directorCalvin Evanshave put together a fantastic six-minute short film that combinesStar Warscharacters with the iconic WesternThe Good the Bad and the Ugly. The short features Han Solo, Greedo and Boba Fett, who square off over buried gold. There is even a reference to “who shot first,” regarding Han and Greedo’s iconic showdown inStar Wars: Episode IV - A New Hopein this wonderful short.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of JusticeandThe Social NetworkTrailer Mashup

A mashup ofBatman v Superman: Dawn of JusticeandThe Social Networkprobably would have happened a lot sooner, hadJesse Eisenberg’sLex Luthorbeen featured in the first trailer. On the heels of the second trailer’s release,David Elmalehhas delivered a wonderful mashup featuring footage ofJesse Eisenbergand others from both movies in a mashup he callsMark vs. The Winklevii. While there is still very little we know about Lex Luthor inBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it’s interesting to see how this character compares to Facebook founderMark Zuckerberg.

Fangirls Reveals Why You Can’t Quit theMarvelCinematic Universe

Only Leighhas put together a humorous animated video that takes place during a fan group meeting, where some of its members want to distance themselves from theMarvel Cinematic Universe. BothAnt-ManandAvengers: Age of Ultronare currently playing in theaters, with some of these fangirls arguing there are just too many MCU movies. Their “headmaster” quickly puts them in their place, though, revealing why they just won’t be able to stay away from these superhero movies.

Everything Wrong WithSuper Mario Bros.

While this may seem like overkill, following theHonest TrailerforSuper Mario Bros.that debuted earlier this week,Cinema Sinsis back with a 21-minute take-down of the 1993 video game adaptation. For a video this long, you know there has to be a ton of “sins,” and given how this is the movie that caused Nintendo to stop licensing their games to movie studios, the high sin count shouldn’t be surprising. If you have 21 minutes to kill, it’s an entertaining look at what many consider the worst video game movie ever.

Chipmunks Play WithStar WarsLightsabers

For a look at the lighter side of “The Force,“VidGeohas compiled footage of chipmunks fighting, while digitally adding inStar Warslightsabers and sound effects. Two of these furry creatures even unwillingly re-enact the famous Annakin/Obi-Wan scene at the end ofStar Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith. At any rate, this two-minute video is more entertaining than any of those movies from that other chipmunks franchise…
