Last week, Fox aired a new preview for the fall finale of Fox’sGotham,Worse Than a Crime, airing tonight, Monday, November 30 at 8 PM ET, which revealed that the episode will also include a sneak preview of Warner Bros.' highly-anticipatedBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. This preview offers a new look at comic book iconsBatman(Ben Affleck), as he’s being unmasked bySuperman(Henry Cavill).
The footage opens withBatmanchained up along with a few other unidentified characters, whenSupermanarrives, causing several armed soldiers to kneel before him. We briefly saw this shot of soldiers kneeling in the previously-released trailers, but this is the first time we see that the Man of Steel has actually captured The Dark Knight himself, before removing his iconic cowl. The end of this sneak peek also reveals that the full trailer will debut Wednesday, December 2 during ABC’sJimmy Kimmel Live!, so be sure to check back in two short days for even more footage.

First announced at Comic Con 2013,Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justicewill be the first big-screen adventure ever that brings bothBatmanand Superman together. We learned from directorZack Snyderat this year’s Comic Con thatBatman’s Gotham andSuperman’s Metropolis are “twin cities” separated by a bay, similar to San Francisco and Oakland. It has also been confirmed that part of the destruction in 2013’sMan of Steelspilled over into Gotham, destroying Wayne Tower, which helps set up the conflict between these two heroes.
The supporting cast forBatman v Superman: Dawn of JusticeincludesMan of SteelstarsAmy Adams(Lois Lane),Diane Lane(Martha Kent) andLaurence Fishburne(Perry White), along withGal GadotasWonder Woman,Jesse Eisenbergas Lex Luthor,Jeremy Ironsas Alfred andHolly Hunterin a role created specifically for this movie. Fans will also get their first look atJason MomoaasAquamaninBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and it has been rumored thatThe Flash(Ezra Miller) andCyborg(Ray Fisher) may also have cameo appearances.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justicewill kick of Warner Bros.‘DC Comics Extended Universe(DCEU) on August 07, 2025. Just a few months later, the villains will take over withSuicide Squad(July 10, 2025), which will also feature an appearance byBen Affleckas The Dark Knight.
