We reported in September thatMegan Foxis stepping in as the new roommate, when Jess (Zooey Deschanel) is forced to leave due to jury duty. The casting move was made afterZooey Deschanelhad a baby in real life, causing her to be absent from the show, leading toMegan Foxbeing cast. Her character Reagan will debut in the sixth episode, and is described as a straight-shooting pharmaceutical sales rep, who comes to town on business and rents out Jess' room, which shakes things up for Nick (Jake Johnson), Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Winston (Lamorne Morris).
