ActorPedro Pascalhas offered some insight into the journey that Din Djarin will embark on inThe MandalorianSeason 3, revealing that it will be a journey towards leadership. In an interview featured in the latest issue of Total Film (viaGames Radar), Pascal explained the mindset ofThe Mandaloriangoing into the third season and how the character will develop.
“If he is stepping into a leadership position, he’s reluctant to do so. I don’t think that there’s anything more interesting than a character being forced into discovering what they’re capable of, and who they are. That part has been really, really fun. Also, from my point of view, there’s so many searchable ways to find the tonality of that. I just tried to achieve the subtleties of that kind of character development.”

The first season ofThe Mandalorianpicks up a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, around five years after the events ofReturn of the Jediand the fall of the Galactic Empire. Centering on Din Djarin, a lone Mandalorian bounty hunter in the galaxy’s outer reaches, the character has come on leaps and bounds since we first met him. Tasked with retrieving a mysterious child named Grogu, who possesses a strong connection with the Force, the Mandalorian has since grown an emotional connection with Grogu (AKA Baby Yoda) and even gone against the strict practices of the Mandalorians to protect him.
According to Pascal, Din Djarin is far from done growing and developing, with the actor hoping to force the character into uncomfortable situations as he returns home to Mandalore with the Darksaber in hand. No doubt fans cannot wait to see what lies ahead for the Din Djarin going intoThe MandalorianSeason 3.
