Percy Jackson and the OlympiansSeason 2 is headed to Disney+ later this year, but the hit action fantasy adaptation is already planning another installment. The series, based on the popular Rick Riordan novels, hasa bright future ahead, and Disney is not letting up anytime soon.
The official social media account forPercy Jacksonposted an image from the set of Season 3, which has just started filming. Walker Scobell is seen in his attire as the titular character, holding a clapperboard. The upcoming season is expected to be based on the events ofThe Titan’s Curse, the third installment in Riordan’s book franchise. With Season 2 focusing onSea of Monsters(which previously got a film), the third season will be the first time thatThe Titan’s Cursehas been adapted in live-action. Check out the image below:

It’s safe to say that fans will be elated to learn that thePercy Jacksonseries will at least get past where the failed film franchise finished. A bevy of fan-favorites introduced inThe Titan’s Curse, including the Hunters of Artemis, will finally be making their way onto the small screen. With two more novels left in the firstPercy Jacksonfranchise, it is expected that Disney will pick up another two seasons. Of course, it likely hinges on the streaming performance of the next two installments. Disney recentlycanceledGoosebumpsafter Season 2, so it is clearly willing to shut down underperforming titles.
The Full Cast and Plot of ‘Percy Jackson’ Season 2
The second season of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will once again feature Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood. Joining the dynamic trio are several familiar faces, including Charlie Bushnell as Luke Castellan, Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue, and Jason Mantzoukas as Dionysus. Of course, theSea of Monstersadaptation will also introduce new actors who will be playing popular characters from the source material.
The most prominent new cast member of Season 2 will be Daniel Diemer (Under the Bridge) as Tyson, the Cyclops half-brother of Percy Jackson. The character made his live-action debut in the 2013 film, played by Douglas Smith. Meanwhile, other exciting additions includeTamara Smart as Thalia Grace, Andra Day as Athena, Sandra Bernhard, Kristen Schaal, Margaret Cho, and Courtney B.
