The team that delivered a bloodfest at Hundred Acre Wood inWinnie the Pooh: Blood and Honeyis venturing to another childhood classic destination: Neverland. Alongside the release of a first look image depicting what this terrifying take on Peter Pan will look like,Scott Jeffrey, who will directPeter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare, shared some details about the upcoming horror film that twists the beloved fairy tale about the boy who can fly and never grows. Jeffrey toldBloody Disgusting:
“I am taking inspiration from French cinema while in prep for this movie. The film will be incredibly tense following Wendy as she tries to track down her brother, Michael, who has been abducted by Peter Pan. I would say it’s a mesh betweenSwitchblade RomanceandThe Black Phonewith our own spin on it. It is a nasty, violent and incredibly dark movie.” He adds:“Tinkerbell is not what you think. In our version she is hooked on heroin and convinced it’s Pixie Dust.”

A sketch for the film was also shared with the publication; you can check it out below.
Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmarecomes from Jagged Edge Productions, a production company focusing on British indie films, mainly in the horror genre. Jeffrey heads Jagged Edge alongside Rhys Frake-Waterfield, best known for directingWinnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey. Despite a gruesome critical reception (the film currently holds a 3% rating on Rotten Tomatoes),Blood and Honeywas a box office success, making $5.2 million against a $100,000 budget. A sequel, made with a much higher budget, is slated for release on February 14 (yes, you read that right). Perfect viewing for couples this Valentine’s Day.
