The Suicide Squadstar Joel Kinnaman looks a little frightened as he sits in his car with a gun in hand in the first look imagefrom action movie maestro John Woo’sSilent Night. Unveiled courtesy ofVariety, the image has lead starJoel Kinnamanno doubt preparing his weapon to enact his revenge in an action thriller that promises to be all action and little conversation. None, in fact, asSilent Nightwill reportedly have no dialogue.

Along with the image, some new information regarding Silent Night has also now been released, including Joel Kinnaman’s character’s name. TheRoboCopstar leads the movie as Godlock, “a father on a mission to avenge his young son who was tragically caught in the crossfire of gang violence on Christmas Eve. With such a simple-yet-superb set up for an action flick, it certainly sounds likeSilent Nightwon’t need many words to tell this tragic festive tale. Kinnaman’s revenge-fueled father will ask no questions whatsoever, instead dispatching his enemies mercilessly without a word. This concept should provideSilent Nightwith a hook that will appeal to action fans, with both director John Woo and star Joel Kinnaman no doubt finding creative ways to portray the emotion and tell the story.

Silent Nighthas now wrapped up principal photography, which took place in Mexico City, and stars Kid Cudi alongside Kinnaman. The rest of the core supporting cast is made up of Harold Torres and Catalina Sandino Moreno.
