It’s been a big week forSpider-Manfans, with thefirst trailerarriving a few days ago, which was widely well-received. StarTom Hollandalso took to Facebook this week for a live video Q&A session, where he revealed that he actually enrolled in a real New York City high school to prepare for his Peter Parker role. During the half-hour Q&A, the actor also made another surprising revelation, that he thinks his character could actually beat up Batman.

Of course, despite his contention, this showdown will likely never happen, barring some sort of miraculous merger between Marvel and DC. Still, during theFacebookQ&A, the young actor revealed that he has had a long-standing argument with his best friend, over who would win in a fight between Spider-Man or Batman. Here’s whatTom Hollandhad to say about why he thinks he could beat upBen Affleck’s Batman.

“It’s funny. My best friend Harrison loves Batman. Right. He’s obsessed with Batman. For years, we have had an argument that who would win in a fight: Spider-Man or Batman. And the best thing is now, I can say, ‘Dude, I know thatSpider-Manwould win in a fight.’ And he’s like, ‘How would you know that?’ I went, ‘Because I am Spider-Man. I am. Like, I’m actually him, so I win’.And then he was like, ‘So you think you could beat up Ben Affleck?’ I’m like, ‘Nah. Probably no’. You know, probably not. That guy’s big. I’d probably throw a quick jab in there. I probably couldn’t even reach him; you know? [Throws a jab]. I mean, what? He’s like 6'4”? He’s tall. He’s a tall guy. I’m a big fan of Ben’s, though. I’m really excited for the new movie, man. It’s going to be awesome."

While we’ll likely never seeSpider-ManbeatBatmanin a fight, Spidey will have a nefarious villain to face inVulture, played byMichael Keaton.Tom Hollandrevealed in a recent interview that the Vulture is “terrifying” when fans first meet him in this movie. It was also recently conffirmed that Peter Parker will be a sophomore in high school, which seemingly confirms rumors that this movie will kick off a new trilogy, with each movie representing one year of Peter’s high school career. Sony recently set a July 12, 2025 release date forSpider-Man: Homecoming 2.
