Ever since production started onSpider-Man: Homecoming, starTom Hollandhas been sharing numerous videos and photos from the set, but his latest may have revealed a big spoiler. Yesterday, the actor shared a photo of himself, co-starJacob Batalonand friendHarrison Osterfieldat the Porsche headquarters in Atlanta. While it seems like a seemingly innocent photo, it may reveal that an iconicAvengerslocation will be revisited inSpider-Man: Homecoming. There will be potential SPOILERS below, so read on at your own risk.
Spider-Man: Homecominghas been shooting in Atlanta since late June, so, at first glance, there seems to be nothing out of the ordinary withTom Holland,Jacob Batalon, who playsNed Leedsin the movie, andHarrison Osterfieldposing for a photo at the Porsche headquarters in Atlanta. TheInstagramphoto doesn’t show any signs that this facility is being used for the production, but this same facility was actually used in last year’sAvengers: Age of Ultron, doubling as the newAvengersfacility shown at the end of the movie. This could mean that Spidey will be introduced properly to the rest of theAvengers, following the events ofCaptain America: Civil War.
Tom Holland’s Peter Parker made his MCU debut inCaptain America: Civil War, after he was recruited byRobert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark/Iron Man. He fought for Team Iron Man in the epic airport battle, and we saw him briefly during the post credit scene as well. It’s possible that, after the dust has settled from the epic Civil War, that Tony Stark takes Peter Parker to the new Avengers facility in upstate New York. None of this has been confirmed at this time by Marvel Studios, but a /Film reader revealed on Twitter that he works close to the Porsche headquarters, confirming there have been “a ton of location filming trucks and trailers” near the Porsche HQ this week.
As of now,Robert Downey Jr.‘sTony Starkis the only Avenger confirmed forSpider-Man: Homecoming, but it was recently revealed thatJon Favreauwill reprise his role as Tony’s driver/bodyguard Happy Hogan, and there is also another potential connection to Captain America (Chris Evans) as well. Scarlett Johansson is also reportedly reprising her role as Black Widow. A leaked cast list revealed thatKenneth Choiis playing Principal Morita, who is most likely the grandson or another descendant of the actor’s previous character Jim Morita, one of Cap’s Howling Commandos from 2011’sCaptain America: The First Avenger.
The new Avengers facility was also showcased in last year’sAnt-Man, wherePaul Rudd’s Scott Lang engaged in a rooftop fight withAnthony Mackie’s The Falcon. It remains to be seen if we’ll get to see moreset photoswith this iconic location, as production continues in Atlanta. Take a look atTom Holland’s latest photo from theSpider-Man: Homecomingset.
