WithAlden Ehrenreichalready confirmed to playHan Soloin Disney and LucasFilm’s new spin-off, the rest of the cast and crew are starting to come together. There have been several casting rumors of late, but today we have a new report that claimsBradford Younghas signed on to serve as the director of photography on this spin-off. This new crew member’s involvement has yet to be confirmed, but this award-winning cinematographer will certainly be a welcomed addition to theStar Warsuniverse.

The news surfaced on Twitter from Variety awards editorKris Tapley. When asked by a fan if this was true, the journalist revealed that the studio is “working around his schedule” for the upcoming sci-fi thrillerArrival, which hits theaters on November 11.Bradford Youngis also listed as theStar Wars spin-off’s cinematographer on the film’s IMDB page.

Reports surfaced in July that this Han Solo spin-off will start anew trilogy, withAlden Ehrenreichreportedly signing a three-picture deal with Disney. It is believed that this trilogy will bridge the gap between the first spin-off toStar Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. That hasn’t been confirmed by Disney as of yet, but it wouldn’t be surprising, since there have also been reports that the studio wants to put out oneStar Warsmovie per year, indefinitely.

Another report surfaced last month that revealed the studio may be eyeingDonald Gloverto star as theYoung LandoCalrissian, while another report claimed that the studio is also casting Han Solo’s first wife, Sana Solo. Shooting is scheduled to begin in January 2017, with Disney and LucasFilm setting a July 16, 2025 release date, exactly 41 years after the release ofStar Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope.Phil LordandChris Millerare directing from a screenplay byLawrence KasdanandJon Kasdan.
