During a recent Twitch live stream,Star Warsvoice actor Sam Witwer revealed an interesting tidbit aboutStar Wars Rebels. Witwer, who voicesDarth Maulon the hit series, was live-streaming his session playing the oldThe Force Unleashedvideo game alongside fellow voice actor David Collins, where he revealed that the iconic Starkiller character was originally slated to be part of theStar Wars RebelsTV series. Here’s what Sam Witwer had to say, explaining that it wasRebelsexecutive producer Dave Filoni who told him this Starkiller news.

“Dave did share with me, by the way, he considered making Starkiller anInquisitorinStar Wars Rebels. It didn’t quite fit the story that they were telling, but he did think about it because he thought that would be interesting.”

Starkiller, born Galen Marek, was Darth Vader’s secret apprentice inThe Force Unleashedand its sequel. The player controls the character in both games. The first title consists of Starkiller hunting the remaining Jedi, with the story set between the events ofRevenge of the SithandA New Hope, honing his skills and training to eventually take on the Emperor himself so that he and Vader could rule the galaxy together. It’s possible that this character could be featured in Season 4, with Season 4 confirmed to be theStar Wars Rebels final season.

The brand new trailer forseason four of Star Wars Rebelsdebuted at Star Wars Celebration Orlando back in April. Promising an action-packed storyline that left fans eager for more, executive producer Dave Filoni was also on hand at the convention to deliver news of the show’s must-see conclusion alongside the voice cast of the entire Ghost crew including Freddie Prinze Jr., Tiya Sircar, Taylor Gray, Vanessa Marshall and Steve Blum.
