Arrowverse Crossovers History
The first time the Arrowverse joined two of its series was in the 2014-2015 season withFlash vs. Arrow. Something that would be repeated in 2015-2016 withHeroes Join Forces, which served as an introduction toDC’s Legends of Tomorrow.
However, the first true mega crossover came in 2017 withInvasion!, which added the long-awaited participation of Melissa Benoist’s Supergirl. This was followed byCrisis on Earth-XandElseworlds, which paved the way for the most ambitious crossover ever, the adaptation ofCrisis on Infinite Earths.
Being one of the most popular story arcs in DC’s history, Crisis was quite a challenge that marked a before and after for the Arrowverse. In fact, the event was the prelude to Amell’s farewell as Oliver Queen since Arrow ended shortly after the presentation of the crossover at the beginning of 2020.
Now, The CW only has two series related to the DC universe:Superman & LoisandGotham Knights, which have no relation between them and whose futures seem uncertain given the changes within DC Studios and the vision of James Gunn taking control over the franchise.
