Right as the new year was starting, it was announced that iconic horror and fantasy directorM. Night Shyamalanwas curating a two-hour horror block of programming for TNT. ATales from the Cryptrevival was said to be the main attraction. Today,Deadlinereports that TNT has officially green lit theanthology series. And that 10 episodes of the show have been ordered.

This all-newTales from the Cryptrevival will reinvent theCrypt Keeper, with the show still based on the iconic EC Comics. Along with this horror anthology, TNT has given a pilot order forTime of Death, which will be a second anthology series that is ‘season long’, meaning that each season will tell one contained story. The cable network also has a third seriesin development.Creatureswill be produced byOutcast’s Sue Naegle. While it doesn’t have a set production or debut date, it is stated new episodes ofTales from the Cryptwill launch sometime in 2017.

HBO has the rights to the original Crypt Keeper that appeared on their version of the show. This new revival will be at the center of each week’s horror line-up, with the new Crypt Keeper setting everything in motion. About curating and launching this excitingTNT horror block,M. It was originally thought that the newTales From the Cryptrevival would also be a season-long anthology show. ButM. Nightlater revealed that he was considering doing standalone episodes. That decision doesn’t appear to have been made yet, as it is not confirmed in this new report.
