During The CW’s TCA press tour panel earlier today, the network revealed the first look atTeddy SearsasJay GarrickinSeason 2ofThe Flash. The poster is an homage to the landmark comicThe Flash#123, better known as “Flash of Two Worlds,” where both Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Jay Garrick are seen rushing to the aid of a fallen victim. This comic, published in 1961, was the first to introduce Earth-Two, and the overall concept of the “multiverse” in theDC Comics.

It has already been confirmed thatThe Flash Season 2will explore the “multiverse,” and fans got a glimpse at alternate versions of their favorite characters in theSeason 1finale. WhenBarry Allenwent into the future using the singularity known as the Speed Force, fans got brief glimpses ofDanielle Panabaker’s Caitlin Snow as the villainous Killer Frost, along with Jay Garrick’s original helmet. Whether or not we see more of Killer Frost, or possibly Carlos Valdes' Cisco Ramon as Vibe inSeason 2, remains to be seen.

The new season will also feature Hawkman (Falk Hentschel), who will pop up on this show before he appears on the midseason seriesDC’s Legends of Tomorrow. With two months left until the series returns to The CW, we’ll surely hear about more new comic book characters coming aboard for this highly-anticipated season.

Executive producerAndrew Kreisbergrevealed earlier this month that fans will get to see the multiverse much earlier than they expected inSeason 2, with our first glimpse possibly coming during the season premiere on Tuesday, October 6. Following the defeat of Barry Allen’s arch-nemesis Eobard Thawne (aka Reverse Flash), Team Flash quickly turned their attention to the singularity swirling high above Central City, which fans last saw consuming everything in its path. Armed with the heart of a hero and the ability to move at super speeds, Barry charged into the eye of the singularity, but will he actually be able to save his city from impending doom?

What do you think of this new poster that recreates a classic comic book? Are you looking forward to Barry’s interactions with Jay Garrick throughoutSeason 2? It isn’t known how often we’ll see Jay Garrick, or when he will make his debut, so stay tuned for more updates. In the meantime, check out this poster to get ready forThe Flash’s return to the small screen.
