Dan Levy is one of the most highly sought-after actors working in comedy today. Coming off the massive success ofSchitt’s Creek, the actor has appeared inHappiest Season, a romantic comedy starring Kristen Stewart, and Netflix’sQ-Force, a series about a handsome secret agent and his team of LGBTQ super-spies. In 2021, Levy hostedSaturday Night Live, which garnered a Primetime Emmy nomination for his performance. Throughout the run ofSchitt’s Creek, Levy, who played David Rose, received five Emmy nominations and won four of them, including Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series, Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Comedy Series.

According to reports fromCollider, Julian Doucet, creator of Prime Video’sThe Lake, says he would love to see a crossover withSchitt’s Creek.
“We could bring any of the cast of Schitt’s Creek. That would be beyond. David (Dan Levy) could be a Justin rival. This lake is probably in the same world as the Rosebud Motel. They’re probably just a few towns over from each other.”

Doucet is correct that it wouldn’t be challenging to explain the worlds colliding betweenThe LakeandSchitt’s Creek. The Prime Video series is set in a small town in Ontario, Canada, the same asSchitt’s Creek. So the possibility of the characters running into each other wouldn’t be unrealistic but likely. In addition to Levy joining the cast, Doucet shared his interest in Sissy Spacek (Castle Rock), Patricia Clarkson (House of Cards), Olivia Coleman (Fleabag), and Goldie Hawn (The First Wives Club) as his “dream” guest stars.
With Doucet eager to work with the cast ofSchitt’s Creek, it’s up to Levy and company to decide whether they want to make their way toThe Lake.
