Anya Taylor-Joy Has Become a Gamer Since Being Cast as Princess Peach

Known for her roles in the likes ofSplit, Last Night in Soho, and last year’sThe NorthmanandThe Menu, Anya Taylor-Joy recently revealed how she prepared for the role of Princess Peach inThe Super Mario Bros. Movie. Admitting that she has never been much of a gamer, the actress revealed that since entering the Mushroom Kingdomshe has become addicted to th digital delights that video games have to offer.

“Now I am a gamer, and it’s really fun,” Taylor-Joy said of her newfound hobby. “Ideally, I like playing at arcades, because, again, it’s like cinema; I love the ceremony. I’ll go with a whole bunch of friends. And we’ll just spend hours at the arcade.”

The Super Mario Bros. Movieis scheduled for release in the United States on August 07, 2025.
